Vehicles, Passengers, Settings and More!


Lots done this week! Vehicles are back to a Rigidbody movement model which means they properly move along the ground and collide with trees and buildings and such.

We've also introduced a Passenger system that means that you can sit in the different seats available to you in a vehicle. This means that for Jeeps you can sit in the passenger seat next to the driver or the two at the back. In Tanks, you can be a Turret Gunner and mow enemies down with a machine gun (see picture above!)

The default Key Binds for switching to the different positions are F1, F2, F3 and F4. We say default because there is now, finally, a Settings system in place, with which you can change the Quality, Resolution, Window Mode, Volume, and Key Bindings for various actions. Currently you cannot change movement or shooting keys, and only certain keys are valid at the moment (thanks for making Input annoying, Unity).

Introduced fall damage and a parachute that can be used to prevent it (hit Jump again in mid air!)

We've changed how the game handles the player dying so that it no longer freezes when that happens and you can respawn at will, also.
